STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
The Brightways Academy COMREAD is a series of reading tests administered at each level. COMREAD measures the student's reading speed and reading comprehension. The Best in COMREAD award is given at the end of every academic year.
English, Filipino, and Tagalog, the mother tongue, are the languages taught and learned at Brightways Academy.
Christian virtues and character formation are emphasized at Brightways Academy. Academic excellence and character formation are taught and awarded equally.
Trips arranged with special sectors of communities add to students' knowledge of what's really happening to the world around them, and create unique bonding opportunities with members of these communities.
One goal of Brightways Academy is to contribute in positive ways to the total wellness and upkeep of its immediate environment. Thus, clean-up drives, greening, and planting are scheduled on the monthly calendar.
Brightways Academy sees to it that students are continuously exposed to the wonders and magnificent beauty of Philippine culture and the arts by visiting museums, parks, libraries, and educational centers.
An annual Christmas event, PAGPAPALA is now running on its fifth year. Special gifts from benevolent sponsors and donors are distributed to select families.
Daily prayer, Bible studies, and the Chapel Hour contribute to the moulding of the Christian faith of the Brightways Academy family.
The Brightways Academy student is a well-rounded individual in terms of mental, physical, social, and emotional development. Constant exposure to the benefits of play and sports give the student much needed exercise for physical and mental well-being.
All students of Brightways Academy participate in scout training for leadership and membership. Scout camps teach them independence, camaraderie, resourcefulness, creativity, and initiative. Team building is taught and practiced throughout the academic year, inside and outside of classes.
The Brightways Academy students are taught the importance of regarding all animals as needful co-existent in this planet. Care for pets is encouraged and taught.
Brightways Academy students are taught ways and means of becoming self-sufficient in terms of present and future livelihood undertakings. They are taught the dignity of labor, the importance of assets and finances, and the value of savings.
