Preparing for a severe typhoon requires thorough planning and action. Stay updated on weather forecasts and warnings, and follow instructions from local authorities. Secure loose outdoor objects and store important documents and valuables in waterproof containers. Stock up on non-perishable food, water, and medical supplies. Have an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, and a first aid kit. If advised to evacuate, do so immediately and follow evacuation routes. Stay inside during the typhoon and avoid going near windows or open spaces. Turn off all electrical appliances to prevent electrocution or fire hazards.
